HoneyBaked Brings 'Cat in the Hat' to Life During Reading Hour
Ham, No Green Eggs at East Lake Regional Library
- Family night at the East Lake Regional Library brought some added fun when
The HoneyBaked Ham Comliany stores in the New Orleans area read Dr. Seuss classics to the captive audience.
- Tabatha Bush of the store in Metairie dressed as the beloved Cat in the Hat, read the book of the same name, as well as
Green Eggs & Ham. Afterwards, though green eggs were not on hand, children did get to taste samples of HoneyBaked Ham.
The fun was not over yet, as many families stayed to play games, take pictures with the Cat and create red and white striped hats of their own.
- "Getting children excited about education and reading at an early age is so important," said Luis Hernandez, general
manager of The HoneyBaked Ham Company of Metairie, La. "Were excited to find a way to partner with local libraries to
help show children just how fun reading can be."
